I normally run a UPS monitor program which shuts down the AS/400 gracefully
if there is an extended power outage. The system value QUPSDLYTIM is set to
*NOMAX. However, we have had a couple of cases where there was a very brief
power outage during the IPL, which caused the AS/400 to immediately shut
down. If I set QUPSDLYTIM to say 5 minutes would that prevent this?

Do I then need to set it back to *NOMAX for the monitor program to work
correctly?

Thanks

Albert York
