I believe there is a component called iSeries Access for the Web that is a browser-based emulation. It is free, I believe. Normal emulation is PC5250 - actually a variant of Personal Communications - and is a licensed for-fee product. Enforcement of the license is a warning - don't know whether Service Director or whatever notifies IBM. Usually you just get an irritating message when you start it.
