Jim,

        You did not indicate the release level, but in V5R2 (??) there is a
pump while active in the OS.  You can set up and move 99% of a disk with
out
shutting down the system and then do a relatively quick IPL to get the last
1%.

        This may be a lot less painful then DST pump in terms of down time
in your shop..
