You need to build a LF with all of the same field names as the PF, however
you have to specify that packed (default) fields are now signed. You then
need to CPYF the LF to a new PF, and send the PF.

All,

I have a PF which I need FTP'ing upto an RS6000 , the file contains packed
fields which I know the FTP process cannot deal with.

looking through the midrange archive brings up a tip of building a LF and
redefining the packed field to a zoned within the LF.

Does anybody know how to achieve this?

Regards
