Used to work at what is now Convergys, they do accounting and billing
software for Cable and telephony. They've used telephony to answer customer
calls for maybe ten years.

Just pulled up their web site www.convergys.com, and found: "Convergys
offers Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)to help you accomplish this goal.
CTI marries voice (a telephone call) and data (your customer's
information)..."

And their software is very very good.
