What are the model of the drives? We brought the 6607 drives, top hat and
all, from our 510 to our 720. These are attached to the 510 expansion
cabinet which is attached to the 720. They are not internal to the 720
unit. I think if you have the right controller and the rails you can put
6607's into the 720. I would run it thru a configuration to be certain.

Subject: 510 v 170 disk drives

A friend of mine has a model 170 with an expansion chassis, and who recently
acquired model 510. He would like to use the disk drives from the 510 in
the 170, but they appear to be completely incompatible. However, a hardware
reseller on ebay has stated that by simply changing the bracket, it is
possible, and he sells the brackets.

Does anyone know if this is possible? And whether it's easy or difficult?
