Jeff,

Your iSeries is your mail server, no? SMTP (port 25) is the mail server
port. Short of some really unlikely IP address spoofing it's midrange.com
sending e-mail to your server.

Subject: Is someone on my system?

If I do a NETSTAT option 3, among all the connections I see the
following:

        Remote Remote Local
Opt Address Port Port Idle Time State

        207.224.38.113 43889 smtp 000:00:16 Time-wait

If I do F14 to display local ports, it then shows the following:

        Remote Remote Local
Opt Address Port Port Idle Time State

        207.224.38.113 43889 25 000:00:16 Time-wait

IP address 207.224.38.113 pasted into a browser brings me a signon for
linux.midrange.com.

Who is this and how are they getting attached to my system? MidrangeDotCom?
Do I have a problem here?

Thanks.
