Tony, You might also check out PASE on OS/400 if their application is available for AIX. This way you would not need a separate partition. I ask because a client is currently running a Dec/Vax machine beside the AS/400. This Dec machine is running a Unix software package. The client is in need of a hardware upgrade on the Dec machine.
