So according to the two replies so far regarding 'quiecing' the system
before performing a Save While Active, you both shut down QINTER
so effectively had no users on the system.

Is this how Save While Active should be done ?

The customer in question who had the problems of strange things happening,
performed the saves mid-day and did not kick any users off (I know the
checkpoint becomes a bit vague).
