Thanks for the response. I found an excellent article by Terry Silva in Iseries News, June 2002, entitled "Put some pep in your TCP/IP Printing" This provided step-by-step instructions on creating a new WSCST object and using it in conjunction with HPT to "customize" the data sent from the AS/400 outq to the ascii printer. I had the printer dancing on the desktop in a few hours.
