Availability of records in logical file


I am working on a batch Mapics user exit that is in RPGLE called via a CLP
from a Mapics RPG program.

When the system is not busy, records written in the Mapics RPG program are
available in the logical view
used in the RPGLE program. When busy, the view does not see the records.

We are at V4R5.   Access path maintenance is immediate.  File is not
journalled and has fewer than 2500 records.
Any ideas why the records would not be available to view?

 In desperation,  I have changed the LF force ratio to 1.

We are not current with DB Group ptfs - could this be the problem?
