Most routers, I believe, do not pass NETBIOS broadcasts. NetServer is easiest when you are on the same subnet.. Other routers block NETBIOS completely. If NETBIOS is blocked, even using the IP address will not work. I am connected via cable and they have blocked NETBIOS, so that Network Neighborhood is NOT your neighborhood.
