You could use the QMHRTVM (Retrieve Message) API to retrieve all the messages in a *MSGF and then write them to a physical file within your application program. This would be preferable to using DSPMSGD to *PRINT and CPYSPLF as *PRINT output is subject to change due to different national language versions, report layout changes via PTF or release upgrades, etc. The format of the API results should be upwardly compatible with new releases; the format of a printed report may or may not be as IBM does not consider the report to be a formal progamming interface.
