If this has all been working then I would consider resetting/rebooting the SNA
server if you haven't already. Are there any displays on the SNA server? Are
they working. Are the printers all on the same port or on several ports?

Subject: printer not varying on

--
[ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ]

We have a AS/400 530-2153. They are connected to various branches through
Ethernet and SDLC line. The problem now with the branch printers. They seem to
be just in Vary On Pending status. We can't seem to get them to Active status.

These are 5224 IBM printers. These printers are connecting through NT server.
The NT server is connected through a router and this router is connected
through another router. This router is connected to the AS/400. We are using
Microsoft SNA Server 5250 emulation.

These printers are connected to virtual controllers and virtual printer
devices. Only the controllers are on Active status while the devices are in
Vary On Pending. So, the writers are not starting. For your information, we are
running Version 3 Release 7.

Solutions please.

TIA.
