That Perl box is a straight emulation of a 5494...

Your options are: (I assume NO ethernet adapter)

(1) Create a dial line/leased line description
(2) Create a remote controller (5394 or 5494)
(3) Create some remote devices (terminals and printers)

Vary on devices and off you go

On the Perl side, you must set up contoller specs as per a 5494.

Since this is a standard SDLC arrangement, the phone line is the
route into the system, not a ethernet adapter, hence no IP address.

BUT that box "might" have an ethernet adapter... if so all the above
is "null and void".

What sort of "WAN" are you using ????
