Thanks for the response about this. James: I ran a test (using debug on an RPGLE program doing the TIME function) to check out an answer to this question: 5. Is the TIME op code in an RPG program retrieving the software clock or the hardware clock? Software. It appears to me that it's using the hardware clock and not the software clock, and this is why I'm so confused. If I want to timestamp a record using time, it won't jive with the network time.
