I do author the software we sell.  So are you saying that it is ok for me to
post unsolicited mail about it to the list?

I think this is a pandora's box that should not be opened.  For me or
anybody.

Re Brad's post, David has given the ok on that.  Regardless of if I agree
with that decision, it is David's to make.  Not mine.  So I'll comment no
further on it.

I do see lots of differences between vendors and authors. I also consider
vendors selling the software they authored as being very different than
vendors selling goods and services.

There's some pretty high-powered talent in this group.  I consider Jon's
work on "I never knew" to be both valuble and personal, even if came out of
the IBM process for example, and Brad's work has been supportive and
generous.

Anyway, David, thank you for that decision. :)
