I would have thought so, too. But if you take the
*INTERACT mode off the command and take option 9, you
get the message that this option is disallowed because
of restrictions on the command (QRY2294). If you try
RUNQRY on a command line you get a different message
(CPD0031) but the same idea - not allowed in this
environment.

So WRKQRY opt 9 maybe checks this setting, then calls
the CPP, rather than executing the command. Anyone know
this?
