May 5, 2002; (Irvine, CA) - BCC Technologies, Inc. announced today across-the-board price cuts in its Extender(tm) Disk Drive models effective immediately. Prices for BCC's Extender(tm) Disk Drive (EDD) family are reduced by up to 30 percent. Cost per megabyte was dropped to .05 cents on the 10K RPM 17 GB disks and to .07 cents on the 15K RPM 17 GB disks. BCC's 10K RPM 17 GB disk was lowered from a list of $1,250 down to $900, a savings of $500 over the similar product from IBM.
