Thanks, that worked. Is there an easier way to figure out the location of where I want my text and lines other that a rough guess? -----Original Message----- From: Peter Colpaert [mailto:Peter.Colpaert@honda-eu.com] Sent: Friday, May 03, 2002 1:24 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: Re: Spool file blues Mike, we had this same problem on some of our overlays too. Just play a bit with the offset down/across for the overlay, as it could be printer-related. Let me explain what happened to us: we used an overlay that started at position 0,0 (left top) of the page, and it looked OK on screen (AFP Workbench viewer), but when we printed it, the overlay was shifted to the right and down, while the printed data (from the RPG program) was messed up as to position, attributes and so forth. When we shifted the overlay down and right a bit, everything was allright. Apparently it has something to do with the 'unprintable area' of the Xerox printer we use. I have a spool file that I am creating. I want to attach an overlay on the file, using a M$ Publisher document. This I know how to do (per http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/199912/msg00970.html and another source). I have the spool file working great and it looks good. However, as soon as I specify *AFPDS, the spool file is all goofed up! Some fields overlap others, some of runs off the page, and the line spacing is off by up to 2 lines. What could be doing this? I have done this on another spool file in the past and it has worked just fine. Anyone have any ideas?
