I'm just tired of the "Windows it the only way" "MS Office is the
only way" attitude. It just seems unstoppable.

My message wasn't so much directed at Dan as it was just a general
frustration... Someone says to me "my e-mail server sucks. It loses
messages, it crashes" and I tell them to use Unix and Sendmail. They
then immediately try to find ANY EXCUSE not to use that, just because it's
not Windows.

The same with business apps on the the iSeries. They complain that their
NT server is down AGAIN, and I say "so run your business on an iSeries, we
haven't had downtime in 8 years" and they immediately do everything they
can to stay with their NT server.

Because they don't want to use one of those complicated and terrible Unix
machines, or those horrible old legacy AS/400's. Not even willing to try
anything but Microsoft.
