Hi Jeff, The "To:" header is not really suited to what you're trying to do. What if I wrote a message, for example, to you and sent a CC: to the list? the "To:" header would have your name, and the CC: would have the list... I'm sure there are other examples, too... where the To: header does not match. In the message headers there are some mailing-list specific headers which work beautifully for splitting the messages into folders. For example, in the message you wrote (that I'm now replying to) it looks like this: List-Help: <mailto:midrange-l-request@midrange.com?subject=help> List-Post: <mailto:midrange-l@midrange.com> List-Subscribe: <http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l>, <mailto:midrange-l-request@midrange.com?subject=subscribe> List-Id: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l.midrange.com> List-Unsubscribe: <http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l>, <mailto:midrange-l-request@midrange.com?subject=unsubscribe> List-Archive: <http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/> Using the "List-Id:" header to split out the messages will probably give you something a bit more reliable than the "To:" header does.
