Hi Anne, I like your attitude! (Honest!) I admit to being surprised that any IBM'er would suggest calling Rochester on a impending failure involving a 10-year old AS/400 running an OS that hasn't been supported in probably seven years. The other funny thing we found out as a result of this situation was that this box isn't even under a service agreement. This is not a business killer situation for us now. We did a full backup over the weekend, and are now saving our development work offline several times each day. If this box does go down before we get the new drive in, we'll just have to stress our other v3r2 box for a few days until we get the replacement drive. I apologize that I haven't had the chance to listen to Mr. Z yet. I've got a killer commute for another month or so that just obliterates any free time I would usually have. Because you asked, I promise I will check it out at my first opportunity. - Dan Bale (I am *NOT* "Dale" http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200105/msg00281.html ) SAMSA, Inc. 989-790-0507 DBale@SAMSA.com <mailto:DBale@SAMSA.com> Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur. Anything I can do to get the right IBMer helping?? OK ... do me a big favor, pls listen to the replay of Bill Zeitler's call.... http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/audience/Homepage.wss?view=ination See if you don't hear the #1 guy for IBM hardware say without any doubt that iSeries is central to the IBM hardware strategy ...
