The replacement box is RAIDed, thank goodness! Still up and running this morning. Haven't seen my boss yet, so don't know if he's followed through on any of the contacts I received from the list and forwarded to him. The Save-21 completed without a hitch this weekend, and I'm backing up my development work to my PC at least twice a day now. (CPP1604) UGH Don - you took me back to my S/34 and S/38 days and the "pump" or more appropriately "snail crawl" to reel to reel tape. If ever in doubt, things HAVE changed for the better ! And Dan, I do NOT envy you my friend, being on an AS/400 with neither Mirroring or RAID - YIKES ! Stress to your boss how this would have been NO BIG DEAL with NO DOWN TIME if you were on that new box and get it in ASAP... If you need stories about how Mirroring and RAID saved the day at this job (once) and my last job (4 or 5 times) just ask and I'll provide details ! Chuck
