i have the answer... ibm told me to go into the dhcp definition and create a dummy subnet for the 10.x.x.x containing two addresses to lease. then omit the two addresses. that did the trick. dan -----Original Message----- From: Chris Bipes [mailto:chris.bipes@cross-check.com] Sent: Friday, April 26, 2002 11:24 AM To: 'midrange-l@midrange.com' Subject: RE: multiple ip addresses on an interface and DHCP You will have to put IP security policies on the 10.x interface. This is done thru OpsNav. I have never done it on the AS400 but know it is there. AS400 server tend to bind to all interfaces by default unless you lock them out. The only way to lock them out is to use IP Security policies. You will run into the same problem on any multi-homed computer. If your NT or Novell is not multi-homed, that may be the easiest way.
