Do you have a copy of the 5494 utilities that came with the 5494? How
do you usually config the 5494? Do you use a WS attached to the
controller or do you use the 5494 utility program and copy the config
data to the 5494?

Subject: RE: Copying a 5494 diskette

I need to copy the config data.

I want to remove the current diskette, insert my test diskette,
reconfigure the controller, run my test, and then reinsert the original
diskette. Unfortunately, I don't have a test 5494 so I have to use a
production machine. I want to be able to put it back exactly the way it
was when I am done.

        Hello Albert,
There are 4 disks coming with a 5494, two of them are for PC
config utilities, the other two are for the controller,
which of the two floppies for the 5494 do you mean ?
The one with the config on it or the one with the base system on
it ?
The config data can be copied using the 5494 itself.
For the other things you will need a PC with an 2.88 MB diskette
drive
and ED diskettes to copy to.
