We had a frame outage today - around 10 - 15 minutes - just long enough to
drop 8 remote sites :-) and then everyone came back up.

However, some devices did not reset (dumb terminals) until I varied them off
and back on or the user(s) turned them off and back on. They had been
showing vary on pending.

I happened to display the device description on one that was not coming back
up after all of this and under "Allocated to:" (where QINTER is if no one is
signed on or where the User is if someone is signed on) it showed the
following:

Job name . . . . . . . . . . . . . : QCMNARB02
User . . . . . . . . . . . . . . : QSYS
Number . . . . . . . . . . . . . : 206600

I looked through the job log for this job and saw nothing unusual.

we did get a CPI5906 Local system sent SNA negative response data to
controller ANYNETAPPC on
device CO0601.

CO0601 is a virtual controller and the device that was acting up is on it.

I ended up having to delete the device and then have them turn it off and
back on and it recreated OK.

So what's up with this ?

Thanks,

Chuck
