It's been a long time since I used this product (I never liked it very
much, so I eliminated it as soon as possible)

But, as I recall, it takes a sign-on screen and signs on to it, then runs
it's AS/400-side program, and then does the actual transfer by
reading/writing the file data on the screen.  (It hides the actual screen
i/o from you, so you can't see whats happening)

For some reason, it's unable to get a buffer full of data to appear on the
screen.  Possibly the transfer program crashed, or is somehow getting into
the wrong state.   Try logging onto another session, and doing a
WRKACTJOB, maybe that'll show what's going on in the transfer.

I don't think this has anything to do with the "files" and "buffers" parms
in your config.sys.
