As others have stated you can use DATAQ s , I have been doing this and ran into one small problem. Any time an entry goes into the RDY state a DATAQ reocord is created and reamains there until to retrieve it , even if the associated spool file entry is removed . If you have a process that reads the dataq and subsequently does something with the spool file you could run into a problem if the spool file has been deleted. Thus you should take this into consideration when writing a program to process the outq . Michael Kenney IT Services University of Windsor "Wills, Mike N. Is there a way to monitor the OUTQ to see if one or more spool files are in there and then kick off my program that will process it?
