This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] I've now read that section of the manual. I have some additional questions. If I want to connect to a Wintel server, as a file server, am I limited to only 'NO LINK CONTROL', or can I use 'FILE LINK CONTROL'? Rob, In order to use Datalinks, you need to 1) initialize DLFM (Data Link File Manager) thru the INZDLFM command 2) specify the libraries containing links thru the ADDHDBDLFM command 3) specify the directories linked thru the ADDPFXDLFM command 4) start the *DLFM TCP/IP server (thru STRTCPSVR or OpsNav) Sometimes, it works ! Ah, your *LOCAL database has to be named in the RDBDIR (WRKRDBDIRE), previously done if using DRDA.
