The 425 "Can't open data connection" error message is usually caused by a
firewall blocking the data connection back to the AS/400. But in this case
you are able to transfer some files and not others. Pretty strange. Have you
tried toggling passive mode so that the AS/400 always opens the data
connection? I would try that to see if it resolves the problem.
