There is also an older hardware accelerated solution that is still

Looks like the 2620 requires the application to be written specifically to
use the co-processor.

Subject: Cryptographic Co-Processor for V4R4 SPD - 2620

Has anyone installed and used a cryptographic co-processor under V4R4 on a
SPD system? We just purchased a used 2620 card. Had IBM service rep
install it. It shows up as available. All required software is installed,
5759 - 34 & 35, 5769-AC3 and 5769-CE3. We had SSL running before adding the
card and it was/is slow. With the card installed and operational, it is
still slow. How do I configure it? We have created nothing in
configuration to use it and I cannot find out what to create. Please point
me in the right direction.
