-- Chris, Strategi has its own Web server, a tn5250 for in a browser (a Java-applet of a mere 70 kb), file and document distribution with the "push"-technology and a messaging "language", HSM. Performance is acceptable. It is easy to set-up with hardly any configuring. Development is rather quick; we had a 4 day training course and a 6 day development course to create our pilot. HSM adds extra tags in a HTML-page and you can handle the requests and replies using seprate text files with HSM-statements; those text files are used after pressing the submit button, for example. It generates a kind of DHTML with the output already defined on the HTML-page, no need to hardcode HTML in a CGI-script, server-sided programme, etc. Does the free stuff offer this all? Weren't others having problems with the installation of this free stuff? It is in fact comparing one product with a set of products, both have their values. Beware, I am a user, not a vendor.
