Patrick, Tomcat is the V5R1 Admin Servlet Engine, it is the Admin engine for iSeries Connect and other IBM products. I'm banking on it. Tomcat is a great application server and the price is just right! I prefer it over Websphere for deploying servlets many times over. Thanx, PLA <<It seems that at a recent tech conference of some kind, an individual (who, > according to different sources, may or may not have been an IBM person) > announced that Tomcat would "no longer be supported" on the iSeries.>> Tomcat is NOT a LPP, it is bundled withf 57xx-DG1, the HTTP Server. It is extremely unlikely that Tomcat will ever be dropped. As a matter of fact, expect to see more support for Tomcat and perhaps see Websphere integrate more of Tomcat into its architecture where it comes to servlet and jsp processing. IBM is a major participant in Apache.org and contributes major funding to their projects as well as developers...
