I don't have any concern about V5R1 and would do it again. Of the concerns outlined in the newswatch article are the following: 1) PTF's. I truly believe that if I was still running V4R5 I would be reporting almost as many problems as I do on V5R1. After all, IBM is still releasing cum's and groups for that release. I like it when people report bugs. Beats the heck out of them a) just whining about it to no-one at IBM b) working around the problem instead of trying to get it fixed. c) avoiding anything new 2) New methods and restrictions. Passwords for STRSST, changes to triggers, etc., are not going away with V5R2 or follow on's. Staying because change makes you mad is not a very strategic response. 3) Failure to following notifications. You should not be in this field if you are illiterate.
