Mark I've run this in various incarnations over many years at a few sites. Depending on what you need it has some great stuff in it. As mentioned elsewhere it is great for finding the hogs and identifying problems and also for reviewing progress when making changes. I also had it for one client in particular who wanted response times at remote sites monitored and reported. I did do some experimentation with the alert capabilities but ended up using Candle instead, however Snapshot did a creditable job (one of my tests involved paging my manager every time CPU went over 10% for a few days :)) The modelling stuff was also quite useful. Hope this helps Regards Evan Harris >Anyone use SnapShot/400? >Looking for comments good or bad. >It is a performance tool. > >Mark Villa in Charleston SC > >_______________________________________________ >This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list >To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com >To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, >visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l >or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com >Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives >at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
