DNS or WINS. If you are running Netserver on the AS400 it should have the correct WINS Server IP address and load itself into the table. You can manually add a WINS entry into your WINS server. Got everything back up and running except for one thing. We can no longer connect to the AS/400 locally over TCP/IP using its name. We can connect using its IP address. This worked fine up until the outage. Anybody have any ideas what to look at?
