-- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Hi Dan, I need to put together a system to move data from one application to another. Source application - Running on VAX using Oracle. Uses FTP to place new members in an AS/400 file (Input File) Target application - Running on AS/400 - takes data in file member, extracts information, and updates application database. The target application needs to respond to new members arriving in the Input File to make the system as real time as possible. In the future as many as 3 input files could be used, all for different purposes. There won't be more that 3 input files. The OS/400 release level for this project is V3R2 If creation of a new member can trigger an action - eg send message to message file, or a data queue - I can create a batch routine which waits for new members arriving in the Input File and then processes them immediately to the OS/400 database.
