ibm4400-004 Thermal printer?

Here goes....
We just bought an IBM Thermal printer (4400) I got it set up on the Iseries
just fine but I am having trouble
Getting the d#*n to print correctly.
What I have setup is:
Printer label length is 10 inches so I set up the print file to be 10
inches
sounds right to me but when I print to the stupid thing my print moves up
and down the page, and when
I print this same thing to any other printer it is always in the same
place...

ex:  first print is 1 inch down on the page
          second print is 1.5 down
     third is 1.3 down

What setting or magical incantation do I need to do to get this corrected.
