It was "titled" as a rumor, and until it is announced, it remains just that... A rumor.... Running a full blown version of AIX is a fairly big deal in my opinion and means the death of the RS/6000 per se.... I believe you could see one or two more os variants before it's over... Maybe the "death" of the AS/400 remains a "down the road" sort of thing.... I was not surprised by the "rumor".
