02 allows you to change the IPL mode (i.e. Manual, "D", "A",)
I have a 170 right here and I'm staring at it....and it's on "01 B N" and
working like a champ.

Although it is possible the machine may be off and still be at an 01 B N (I
think)

01 B N is the select IPL mode with IPL off of DASD side B ( with PTF's )
Normal. Push the big white button to start an IPL. I believe that if 01
shows, not 02, (display selected IPL) your system is not powered up.

Hoping someone can provide a little help here, realizing i'm going to be
probably a little thin on information to provide.

I have a remote 170. We don't have anyone onsite to provide any assistance.
I did have someone go look at the machine and the LED shows '01 B N'
There doesn't appear to be any processor activity.'

Can someone tell me what this code is or where i can find out what this code
represents.
ALso, any thing else i can check to determine what the problem is?
