I'm going and I'm speaking.  The is one of the finest two day conferences
in the US.  I'm bring three Barsa employees.  45 minutes west of Boston, so

Who Should Take This Course:

Individuals with some exposure to the iSeries and/or those who have had
traditional application focus on the iSeries and wish to broaden their
knowledge of business conditions favoring the iSeries servers, and OS/400.
This course is recommended for IBM Business Partner sales professionals and
IBM Sales or Technical Support Personnel. Also, Customers who want to have

more in depth knowledge of the iSeries and how it is positioned in the
e-business world.



What You are Taught:

a.. Recognize the importance of the iSeries unique architecture and how
it
matches current IT needs.
· Describe the positioning of the iSeries as a central component of
the e-business solution cycle including leveraging of knowledge and
information, transformation of business, building new applications, and
running scalable, available and safe environments. Back the arguments with
current sources and references.



· Define how recently announced iSeries technology features solve
critical customer business issues and learn to position these as part of
the
e-business solution.

· Articulate the special value proposition of the each iSeries
Models
as a server basis for the e-business solution and differentiate it from its
competitors in the various market segments

· Explain key features of OS/400, recognize their role in the
e-business solution and integrate these into the customer solution

· Understand the components of a complete e-business solution
according to IBM Software Strategy (Framework) incorporating the iSeries as
the server platform. Recognize the business opportunities, which call for
inclusion of select IBM Software products.



Certification Program:



This course prepares you to take IBM Certification Test #659 (iSeries
Solution Sales V5R1) to become an IBM eServer Certified Specialist.
