Evan I just loaded "Websphere Application Server" today and IBM actually gives you the choice of using the cd on your /400 -or- using the cd on you pc! I used the option to load it via my local pc since it looked to be easier. The install process is documented on the web at: http://www-1.ibm.com/servers/eserver/iseries/software/websphere/wsappserver/ docs/as400v35/docs/indexiic.html If they can do it to load a new program product, they should be able to figure out the process for PTF's. Having to travel to operator-less sites just to shove CD's in a drive is a drag. Ops Nav doesn't cut it in the PTF level stakes and I have yet to find an easy/bulletproof way of getting PTF's across to another machine from CD.
