Hi Terry,

The default printer used by a job is controlled by that job's job
description.

Take a look at the workstation entries in your interactive subsystem
(eg. DSPSBSD QINTER, then options 4 and 5). These workstation entries
specify the job description a job will use. By default, this is normally
*USRPRF, in other words, use the job description specified on the user
profile.

Instead of using *USRPRF for the job description, you could use a named
job description instead. A copy of QGPL/QDFTJOBD would probably be
sufficient. You can then make the required changes. Change your new job
description to OUTQ(*WRKSTN) + any other changes required by your
working environment.

This should do the job, or at least get you pointed in the right direction.
