For whatever reason only beknownst to IBM, they have made the finding of specific "documentation" to anything but a productive process. I would expect the Software Installation manual to contain everything I need. Wrong!! Anyway, the InfoNOT Center has been mentioned enough on the list. Big Blue listening... I needed the pre-installation steps (as I assume that is what you are looking for). You need to follow the RISC to RISC Installation manual. These steps have been removed from the Installation manual. Heres how to find them. Bring up the InfoCenter. Click on the Internet Version for current info. Select V5R1 Click GO Click the Print Topics ICON Page down and under the heading "System Planning and Installation" Double click "Software and Licensed Programs" This is a PDF document you can print or save to your hard drive. It contains the missing steps. I am still trying to piece together all of the doc I need to install 5.1. Good luck. Thomas A. The version on the information center site is not very printer friendly. Is there another place to find a good printable copy? _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
