I don't know about the conversion.  But as far as the API after you have it
converted...
Heck, IBM will give it to you.  Can you call stored procedures and stuff
from your Java?  Do it that way.

Does any one know of any Free/Open Source tools that will convert dds
display file to java screens?
Looks like it will take us about 5/6 year to manually convert all of our
programs to graphical...


Also, talking to a lot of the big vendors about paying for tools they
mention that after they convert
the Screens they go in and change the associated programs to use an API
what is that API?

Is it a system supplied API or one they create?

Do any of you know of a cheap, both in regards to purchase as well as
developer time, to convert
programs to use RPG on the Back-end and Java on the front end?
