Rob,
Forget my previous append; It is clear that you are using the *SYS naming,
and ROB is in your *LIBL, as the others UDFs are found: the FAXNEWAREA
should be also.  It looks now more like a parameter mismatch.  Is it found
when using it with two CHAR(3) variables (not litterals) ?  You could try
to create it with VARCHAR in place of CHAR.
