FWIW, this sort of thing was  not unknown in the past. One of my pet
peeves is the change from F1=Exit to F1=Help (and F3=Exit) -- didn't that
happen between the S38 and the AS/400? As a result, all that old BPCS code
still works fine, but the user who is switching between it and native
OS/400 screens (e.g. working with spool files) has to keep checking the
bottom of the screen to find out how to exit . . . .
