It looks like you are backing up over a network. My definition of backing up over a network would be to do a SAVxxx command to a device on a remote system. What Vision does (as well as Data Mirror and Lakeview do) is to replicate your data to another system, which has to absorb the overhead of rebuilding all of the access paths, and of course have enough disk to hold over what data you need before you can suck it off to tape. (BTW #1, don't run out of disk. BTW #2, the rules of IBM library.object locking are not always well documented.) Then you have to do traditional SAVxxx operations, although when you restore to the "source system", you have to abide by all of the rules of restoring to a "different system", because the serial number of the system you are restoring to (the "source system") is different from the system that you saved from (the "target" system".)
