I haven't tried the V5R1 client yet but I seem to recall that to use it with
OS/400 V4R5 that their was a ptf for OS/400.  It may have been only for Web
Facing but it may have been needed just to connect.  This isn't a lot but
hope it helps.  Have you tried looking in the Code/400 newsgroup at IBM, the
developers hang out there a lot.
